Workforce Bootcamp

Wanted: Two Communities Looking to Take Workforce Initiatives to a Whole New Level

Workforce Bootcamp Pilot Program Now Launching

The hosts of your favorite podcast have a proven track record of workforce development programming success.  The award-winning strategies are replicable across the county, and we are set on a mission to prove it.  We are looking for two very special communities to launch our Workforce Bootcamp pilot program.

Here is what you will get:

-An intense, 6-hour day filled with energy, debate, and raw conversation leading to a unified approach to workforce solutions

-A plan that will motivate community leaders to invest time, energy, and resources into workforce initiatives

-At the end, you will have an actionable strategy with very specifically defined goals and metrics

-A special podcast show featuring your community on the Develop This! Podcast feed- recorded on-site during our visit

This pilot program isn’t just for any community.  Here is what we are looking for:

-An economic development organization willing to challenge conventional thought and mix things up

-A business community willing to invest in workforce strategies but unsure how to get maximum results

-Best for laborshed markets under 250,000

This is what you will need for the day of the bootcamp:

-Recruit a small group of between 12 – 18 leaders from a cross-section of the community including business, education and government

-Room set-up is very important.  You will need a small conference room which sets the stage for very personal and frank discussion.

-Participants willing to engage in open, honest dialogue.  The conversation will be unpleasant at times, but it is all in an effort to produce very specific, actionable strategies.

-A light breakfast and catered lunch.  The lunch hour is perhaps the most important discussion of the day.
